How to shave the seat of a Suzuki GSX-R750?

I am considering on shaving the seat of my GSX-R750 as an alternative to lowering my bike. I would like to know how to do this just in case I like this option better or maybe even doing this in conjunction with lowering it, if lowering the bike isn't

take it to an auto seat place & they will remove the cover reshape the foam (take some out or fit new thinner foam) & replace the cover... quick & easy...if you have a look how its attached you may feel you can do it yourself.. not to hard
