I bought a standard 16" x 25" x 1" 3m ultra air furnace filter that wont fit my furnace, please help?

I live in an apartment and the furnace uses disposable fiberglass filter. I suffer from allergies hence I bought the ultra allergen 3m filter which is 16" x 25" x 1". It does not fit the furnace as it seems to be too THICK. I could not
If the old filter was a 16x25x1 then it should fit, you may have to wiggle it a little bit here and there. just be patient. due to the many many different ways a filter can be installed in a system it's hard to give you a good answer. It shouldn't be
