are there any tips or tricks for getting the spark plug boots off o my 2000 camaro i dont have a boot puller?

on the fourth gen website there is instructions for doing it with jackstands and a boot puller but they say you must replace wires when replacing plugs is wire replacement a must and i dont have a boot puller or a way to jack the car right now are there

I am breaking in a Chevy 350 which was rebuilt 2 years ago, the engine had never been started. I have made three 20 minute engine runs at 2,000 RPMs, changed the oil after each run. The engine sounds fine, runs strong, good oil pressure, and is smoking less and less each run as the rings begin to seat.
However, I am getting a significant amount of oil on the spark plugs and plug wire boots on cylinder #1, #3, and #5 and also oil dripping out the tailpipe. It appears the oil is coming through...
